Caleb's Observations of Marriage

So Caleb was home one morning after I had left for work and had a revelation of his married life. We live differently. He thought maybe I would be offended but instead, I was on the floor laughing at how true these pictures are. Caleb and I are two different people that get along fantastic but man does he have to endure some hardships to live life next to me. Please enjoy these photos Caleb has been gathering the last month-ish. More to come I am sure of.

This is how the glasses always look after
we finish our meals. I drink all my fluid
AFTER I eat and Caleb is a drink
DURUNG you eat kind of guy.

The Fourth in Photos

We went to White Pines Forest State Park in IL this year for the annual Klinge Camping Event. We had a great time and will have memories for a lifetime.

Klinge Parents bought us a tent for the wedding. SO FUN!

Miles was ALL about the fire. Here is the
kindling to start things off.

Our camping staples.

Running. We are not fans but we did it again.

So... Caleb and I ran a 5k. Not a big deal to some of you, a huge feat for us. Our church, Evergreen Bloomington, takes part in the "Fill Your Plate" run around Lake Calhoun here in Minneapolis on June 15.

This is our second year and we still didn't "train" like we knew we needed to. We ran the first 1.5 miles together and then I walked the hill as Caleb continued running. Caleb continued to conquer as I did a decent run/walk. I, personally, have not been that tired in.... a literal year (since last time I did the race). As you see in the photos, I had a red face... for like 2 hours still after the race. We are proud of ourselves for finishing the race and we happened to beat our times from last year. (At least we had that going for us.) It is always a competition for us against those around us so when Caleb told me as I was about to cross the finish line to "beat those girls", I sprinted and crossed the finish line just as they were thinking the race was over. I do not feel bad but I could not look them in the eyes after the race as they walked near me. If you think that is dirty, it is BUT sometimes you just gotta finish hard, right?

Please enjoy our photos we took and others that we are borrowing from the photographer. HeHe.

Isn't she precious? Yeah, we don't know her.
HOTTIE, Wow baby.

Just struggling. That is all I did.

He loves me so.

Pumped we finished and that the race is over.

Chicago: The Town of Chaos & Our Future

-->
Caleb and I just got back from Chicago to celebrate my mom being at Culver’s for 20 years and Caleb getting into grad school. Mom has the month of June off from work due to her sabbatical and so she came to be tourists with us. The weekend started with the wedding of my cousin. Lee married the ultra beautiful Chelsy in a quaint little wedding. What a beautiful time my family had.

We then drove to Oak Park where Caleb and I wish we could afford; it was so cute! We had deep-dish pizza at the famous “Giordano’s” in a suburb before falling asleep to get ready for our first big day in downtown Chicago. We started the day off by buying the “Chicago Pass” where we were able to go to the Field Museum, the Shed Aquarium, the Art Institute of Chicago, John Hancock Building, and the Willis (Sears) Tower. It took us all four days to get all the locations visited but the cost was totally worth it. We also let Caleb take us to Soldier Field for a tour led by a retired Chicago police officer. We stayed on the Magnificent Mile each night and walked EVERYWHERE. Mom got a little tired but we were able to keep her moving. The highlights for us were the boat tour that was themed with “Architecture of Chicago” and the Blue Man Group performance.

Mom and I "peacing it up".

Caleb kissing his wife, LOVE YOU!

He loved this tour, had to be front and center.

Faking an injury in the locker room training area.

I live for this stuff. Best soda there is.
Bean photo we chose to take.

This was in a BEARS locker room. Rep!

Caleb did start orientation for school while we were in Chicago. He was able to meet everyone and also get to know what school was going to be like. He said he really enjoyed his time at school and is super excited to get started.

We were also able to see some really important people in our lives. On Saturday we saw everyone on my Mom’s side we possibly wanted to, the following Wednesday we saw broski Joe that I grew up with in high school and Caleb’s good friend Levi, Thursday I saw my Uncle’s family at their homes with my mom, and on Friday-Sunday we spent time with Caleb’s brother and his family Kelly and Miles.

With the Klinges, we were able to go to Miles’ soccer and baseball games, to a Sox/A’s game, and out to eat for BBQ. It was all fun for us but the A’s game was by far a highlight… something about A’s and baseball makes the Minnesota Klinges shout with excitement.

He plays for the giants... at the age of 4 1/2.

Were we tired for days after returning? Of course we were. Would we do it again next month? Hands down, absolutely.
