Week 35: Happy 8 Months, BABY!

Roland Paul has advanced to the 8 month realm of life. He is getting so big! He officially army crawls, happy screams, tells serious stories through babbling, and eats anything we give him from a Gerber jar.

He is becoming quite clingy (Klinge) to his parentals and it is quite an adjustment for us. I know it is a stage but this momma has got stuff to get done and it is hard to do with a baby on the hip.

He still is a very happy kid and just really loves to jam to music and growl at you.

In other news, Rollie and I have taken many-o-trips to the park for swinging and and grass sitting. It is surely the highlight of our days together.
I also saw fit to showcase Rollie's mega long hair by a good old fashioned pony. Dad wasn't the most excited but alas it happened and it was cute.

Rollei with a pony.

Rollie losing his pony. Tragic.
My son has also found the hidden world behind the couch which is the kitchen table. There are a lot of items on that thing that we put so Rollie canNOT reach but he too has found and nibbled on those items too.

We took a family trip to the college summer league baseball field to watch the Northwoods Woodchucks. Mind you Rollie only lasted an hour BUT we went and we had fun.

On Saturday, we went for a bike ride and Rollie tasted his first McD's cone. He thought it was delish and only was given two licks and a lap full of sticky mess.

Week 34: New Childcare & Weekend in MN with Friends

Well a big transition for Baby Rollie BUT we are on to a new friend taking care of Rollie. We will sure miss seeing the other friend on a weekly basis but we are looking forward to Rollie's new digs.

So far, he just really loves it... A LOT. The sitter does too I hear. :)

For the weekend, we made our way over to MN for a friend visit. It was so good seeing everyone we could. Rollie met new friends and reacquainted with older one too.

When we got home, Rollie showed us his new trick. If you set him up against a surface, he will stand there indefinitely as long as his chest or gums can assist in the process every-so-often.

What babes, just watching some Pixar togther (Brave).

Week 33: Weekend of giggles, ribs, and chalk

This past weekend was a big weekend for the city of Wausau. It was Rib & Chalk Fest. It is sort of fun, we really enjoyed it last year. With a baby, it was a little less fun as we couldn't do the fireworks, stay at the rib fest for too long, standing in line for ribs was a feat, and enjoying the art couldn't take too long. All is well because it made for a more relaxing weekend at home.
Rollie's hair is offically long enough for
a ponytail. No we don't let him have it
in public.

Our cute, goofy boy.

He LOVES the coffee table basket items.

Big Boy sitting in a high chair now

He loves his dad so much.

I got him to snuggle so I needed photo proof.

Nighttime shenanigans.

A great weekend calls for a little R&R in the car.

Week 32: Klinge Kamping at its best

Well it is that time of year again... KLINGE KAMPING! I love this tradition and I literally hope it never has to end. To have everyone there (even Anna!) was such a treat. I love my family.

We packed up and were off. Rollie, as always, took up the most space with his seat and things. I do not believe we could have packed anything more into our little car. We bought a roof basket this past year for the reason to carry Rollie's stuff and man, did we need every inch.

Kathy found a great spot for us to all be. Very quiet and private.

We all share meals and it is just fun to have simple food and socialize before, during, and after meals.

Great family time with Rollie. Babies grow so fast and it is fun for Rollie to get to see his family at least three times a year.

He did so good; was such a trooper. Being 7 months is never easy but he made it seem like he had done this whole tent camping thing before.

We did have one poorer moment. Every night was around 50* and Rollie did fantastic the first night but the second night was a little different. He woke at 3AM freezing cold and so we drove around for an hour followed by 2 hours of sleeping for Rollie and "sleeping" for mom and dad in the car. It all worked out and we will always remember this moment of pure baby love for our child.

Thanks for the memories, Klinge family!
