The Decor of the Reception

I am back to share about the reception decor. We have gotten a lot done for the reception since last week. We have the menu done, the room set-up decided on, and also the thought of a wedding picture for all guests to be in.

So onto the decor... I will give you a sneak peek but I feel as if I need to leave some mystery. Maybe...

The head table will have the draping twig garland again from the ceremony. Like this:

I am really loving the monogrammed runner idea.

The tables are going to have mismatched vases as centerpieces but also some other elements to make each table unique... like this or this:

I think I like the candle option... how could I make that work?

Lastly, once I find my keys (please help me find keys) I will put them on a fun shutter, like so...

Just looks perfect to me!

Can you see the vision streaming through the wedding details? I sure hope so!

Next week is all about the two books that Caleb and I read during our engagement. We LOVE these books.

Wild Apples Visit Part 1

Can I just say, I had the best time at my florist appt last friday. Missi is the nicest person who accomodates to her clients and is so honest with you as she really listens to your visions.

I had no idea what I was going to say when I walked into her small shop in small town Baraboo, WI. All I knew is I wanted the flowers to be perfect and the ceremony to be decorated in floral. I literally am pumped to see these ideas in real life.

So here is the deal. My aisles will be decorated in burlap and twigs. Yes, you heard correctly, I went to a floral shop and I will have little amount of flowers and a great amount of organic feel.

The next decision was with the front of the church. We decided on a twig altar background with greenery on the floor of the stage and on the ledge of the baptismal pool.

Last but not least, we decided on the ceiling decor. It will be draping organza and flower balls intermixed.

Forget the black and lights. Just organza interwined.

Pom will be just tucked in corners of the organza.

IA Visit + 1st Bridal Shower

This weekend Caleb and I went to Iowa to spend time with the family. It was a joyous time full of family and time spent doing absolutely nothing but being together. I truely love my family I have joined and I wouldn't be this excited to be a Klinge if it weren't for Caleb's family.

Speaking of Caleb, I would like to SHOW you our weekend instead of writing in detail. Caleb's orders and I cannot say no to his cute face.

Side Note: Thank you Klinge Sisters and Momma Kathy for a GREAT bridal shower. It felt very personal and sweet. I do feel very loved.

My mother would be mortified if I actually wrote about the details of the event so I will be very "G". Your welcome, Mom.

Last week I was blessed to have 9 of my closest friends all in one room for the night. The night started with prep and Kate feeding the rest of us leftovers that Kyle did not take to work to eat. She has always been that girl to be the provider for the girl squad. We made a romantic picnic on the floor and ate tacos and hummus. I got very antsy and deicded running around the table like a twelve year old would suffice for the waiting period. Lame? Who cares.The first guest did not come until 5 minutes to 7 and I was getting very nervous that no one would come even though the host said nine replied yes. Do you ever get that feeling that no one will come to your party, just like in the tween movies we all used to watch? I do. Bad dream you never want to come true.

The party had started in full swing. We met at Kate's as we ate and chatted our hearts content. We laughed a lot and I loved every second of that. I don't think I have enjoyed myself that much for a long time. My friend Ash put all the gifts and decor together as Kate and Sarah Beth did all the cooking and prepping. I felt truly blessed to be loved from so many people. We met for a whopping 2 hours as we played games and such.

We played the "how well do you know the bride?" game and I must say... Caleb and I know each other pretty well. Go figure after 4.5 years. Obviously Caleb and I discussed the questions we got wrong to make sure the other person was aware of the right answers for next time.

This was my first shower so the anticipation was skyrocketed all day at work. I was not disappointed either. Thanks ladies!

Update Central. Everything is starting to look like a for serious wedding!

We are in the double digits people, I hear time flies by now. I am stressing on timing, I think.

·         Caleb and I went home this weekend to Wis Dells and tried to figure out more details for the wedding. Here is where we got:

o   The invitations to my WI wedding shower will be sent by NEXT Friday. I love them so much. Bestie Hannah and I are masterminds.

o   Invitations for the wedding will be going through drafts within the next couple weeks and sent out BY September 7^th, 2012. This is a big deal. We have the design and layout finished, just all the pieces need to come together.

o   Mom and I finished the “vision board” so that all the vendors really get a feel for what our wedding looks like in our heads. We went through many, many magazines to get the perfect combination

o   I know what my makeup and hair needs to look like. My hair is growing but not fast enough… I am very nervous.  

§  My cousin is doing all the hair for the girls and I cannot wait because she is like the nicest person and I know will do a perfect job.

o    We know what 1/3 of the décor will look like in the church and 2/3 of the décor in the reception hall

·         All the bridesmaids now have their dresses. HOORAY! All but two are perfect for the people and the other two dresses were a mistake on the bridal store so we are ALL good. I am pumped for them to all stand next to me. They look so presh individually, peeps. I love my bmaids.

·         I ordered the material for the flower girl dresses last week and it should be in by next weekend so I am pumped to pick that up and drop that off to my Kathy mom in a few weeks in IA.

·         I got a “paper boy” hat for Miles, the ring bearer, to wear down the aisle. It is SO great. Blue and white striped, couldn’t be more perfect.

·         My wedding band is done and I have it in my possession. It is the most unique thing I have ever seen eyes on. Personal fluff of feathers: I did a great job designing it. Caleb and I LOVE it.

·         I looked on www.theknot.com and saw ALL the things I need to get done still. I am really needing to set time aside each day to plan things out.

o   First on the list: wedding music to musicians and singers. Piece of cake, right?

Caleb Has A Gun!

So, we went registering for our registry the other week and had a blast. We have heard from those around us that doing this is not so much fun and more of torture than a bonding experience. We prayed over the night and went at it. We started at Kohl's at about 6:30pm and spent a good hour in the kitchenware and eyed the luggage. Caleb was set on holding the gun the entire time and making sure the EXACT item was the perfect fit for us. I was in charge of color schemes and durability.

We ventured on to Macy's where we registered for the more expensive but lasting gifts. We were pampered like royalty and felt a little out of our element. My favorite thing to register for was the luggage. I personally love the luggage and Caleb did not oppose to my pick. Holy smokes, luggage is like WAY expensive. I hope it lasts us forever.

We ended the night at Target at 9:45pm arrival with frustrations at the registration area and Caleb almost lost his cool. Caleb luckily had me, the calm one for once, to handle the situation. We left the store running around the last aisles and finally finishing the night off.

I can honestly say we commuicated very well, there was only two "private" conversations in the corner of the store to dicuss why we were having a hard time. I classify this as a "B+" day. Don't you? I cannot wait to open these presents and know I get to share them with my ultimate bestie.
